To explore what is at stake for CYSHCN in the current debate about Medicaid, this issue brief provides data on the number of CYSHCN enrolled in Medicaid and outlines how they qualify for coverage. It presents findings from interviews with families of CYSHCN about Medicaid's role in their lives. The brief concludes with a discussion of policy implications and recommendations.
