Product Description:

Now available in Spanish/English version are the following Lessons: Overcoming Past of Barriers & Restrictions, Overview of Individual Rights, Restriction of Individual Rights, and Your role in Supporting the Expression of Rights & Facilitating Choice Making. This course will provide an overview of rights issues as they relate to people with developmental disabilities and recipients of services. The use of human rights committees, guardianship, common rights restrictions and the DSP role in supporting rights protection and expression are reviewed. Consumer directed supports and daily choice are reviewed as strategies for helping people with developmental disabilities to earn about and express their rights.
