Product Description:

In order for people with disabilities to improve their quality of life and make a significant contribution to the workforce, employment service professionals need to think beyond just helping people find available jobs. The key is to raise expectations and think about growth--to look at what "role" the individual will have in the workforce. This course will cover how to use individualized assessments and employment/career planning strategies as tools to explore career interests and opportunities and how to use them to empower individual choice. Strategies will be discussed for overcoming barriers to employment and career building as well as how disability benefits can be "actively" used by job seekers to help them make career choices.
