The Accommodations online training module provides basic information for faculty regarding accessibility and the role of reasonable accommodations in postsecondary education. The introduction to the module provides the legal rationale for accommodating otherwise qualified individuals with disabilities. The most commonly used accommodations in postsecondary education (i.e., testing accommodations) are described and examples are provided. The distinction between physical and programmatic accessibility is made, and accommodations for increasing physical and programmatic accessibility are indicated. The module closes with answers to frequently asked questions and additional resources for learners to access.
