The Ohio State University Nisonger Center is honored to be one of the 27 recipients of an exciting and innovative five-year demonstration grant, funded by the Office of Postsecondary Education, to establish higher education experiences aimed at improving employment for transitioning-aged youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Transition Options in Postsecondary Settings for Students with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (TOPS) is a transitions option focused on empowering youth with disabilities to become self-determined adults. The TOPS staff, faculty and students provide natural, state-of-the-art technology and other needed supports that allow youth with IDD to access and benefit from employment, educational, social integration and independent living opportunities.
Participants will have the opportunity to engage in Ohio State academic coursework, the campus community, residence halls and
internships.
