Product Description:

Direct support professionals (DSPs) support people in many different types of places and they provide a wide variety of supports. This course presents a variety of aspects of the profession, including what DSPs do and what are the best practices in the field. The course will also go into detail about ethics and data privacy and how they tie together to guide direct support professionals and improve direct support professionalism. It will help DSPs understand their strengths, limitations, and areas of improvement. The course also presents an in depth discussion about the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and how it relates to DSP professionalism.
