Product Description:

This was a three hour workshop for employees, administrators and staff at the Hawaii Vocational Rehabilitation agency and Developmental Services. It also included advocates with disabilities. It was attended by over 50 persons, who participated in a hands-on Customized Employment activity, where small groups designed and carved positions in the community for Hawaiians with DD/ID. The primary goal of the workshop was to share the collaborative efforts that Nevada was doing to increase integrated employment, in the hopes that Hawaii could engage in similar collaboration. Dr. Harrington presented with the assistance of the Nevada BVR Bureau Chief, Mechelle Merrill.
