This three credit course is designed for those students who are preparing to work with infants and young children who have disabilities (birth through age five) and their families. The course focuses on five functions of assessment relative to young children with disabilities: identification and referral, evaluation to determine eligibility for special education, assessment for program planning, monitoring of individual child progress and program evaluation.
