Elizabeth (Liz) Schmidt

2016-2017 AUCD Virtual Trainee


Elizabeth (Liz) Koss is pursuing her Master's in Occupational Therapy at The Ohio State University. She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri. She is passionate about working with individuals with developmental disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder to increase independence and enhance quality of life. She has worked in clinical and administrative settings, using the most current research and best practices, with interdisciplinary teams to assess, evaluate, develop treatment plans, and implement appropriate treatment and care for individuals with neurodevelopmental differences.

Liz became a Nisonger Center LEND trainee in 2015, where she has worked towards building and sustaining interdisciplinary communication and collaboration. During her first trainee year, she found a new passion for advocating for persons with neurodevelopmental differences and has advocated at the state and national levels.

When she is not working, Liz enjoys Ohio State football games and traveling to Chicago, St. Louis, and Cincinnati to visit family and friends.
