Caroline serves as program specialist, working with AUCD’s Policy Innovation and Education team on projects, primarily with Think College. Her areas of focus are college programs for students with intellectual disability, state legislation, and the Think College Policy Advocates program.
Caroline was a program director for a college program for students with intellectual disability in Louisiana for nine years and assisted in the creation and expansion of the state-wide alliance. She worked on legislation at the state-level that expanded funding for Louisiana programs, and regularly supports and consults with starting programs in the state. Prior to her years in higher education, Caroline taught in a behavioral and emotional disorders classroom for two years.
Caroline holds a bachelor’s degree in mass communication from Louisiana State University, a master’s degree in special education from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and a doctorate degree in educational leadership from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
