Maternal and Child Health Engagement
Jackie Czyzia, MPH, is the Director of AUCD's Maternal and Child Health Engagement Team. Her responsibilities include overseeing the development, delivery, and evaluation of technical assistance provided to Autism CARES Programs, including 60 Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) Programs and 13 Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics (DBP) Programs. Jackie also establishes strategies for supporting and increasing the impact of Autism CARES Programs. With subject matter expertise and leadership experience in maternal and child health, Jackie brings over fourteen years of experience in public health, workforce development, technical assistance, and program management.
Previously, Jackie served as Assistant Director of Maternal and Child Health Programs at Genetic Alliance, managing federal grants focused on family and provider education and engagement. Her position involved developing educational materials, webinars, newsletters, trainings, and websites on complex or nuanced maternal and child health topics, such as genetic testing and newborn screening.
Jackie earned a Master of Public Health degree with a concentration in Maternal and Child Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Administration and Political Science from Elon University. When she is not working at the office, Jackie supports women and their families as a professional birth doula.
