Amy Armstrong has been working at Minot State University's North Dakota Center for Persons with Disabilities (NDCPD) since 2001. Since that time, Armstrong has written and worked on a variety of successful federal and state grants including: Right Track Early Intervention, the Medicaid Infrastructure Grant, North Dakota Real Choice Rebalancing Initiative, North Dakota's Employment First Initiative and ASPIRE (Achieving Success by Promoting Readiness for Education and Employment) PROMISE national research initiative.
She is currently the Project Director for the Advancing Students Towards Education and Employment Program (ASTEP) which is an inclusive Transition and Postsecondary Program for Students with Intellectual Disabilities (TPSID). In addition to directing the ASTEP program, Armstrong is the director of the Office of Sponsored Programs at Minot State University. She holds two Bachelor of Science in Education degrees and a Master of Education concentrating in Special Education from Minot State University.
