Product Description:
Recent data indicate as many as one in four children through age five are at risk for a developmental delay or disability, highlighting a need for coordinated, comprehensive systems for developmental screening and early identification. Increasing capacity of childcare providers for developmental monitoring is a promising way to increase the proportion of young children with developmental disabilities who are identified, referred, assessed, and access early intervention in a timely manner. This session highlights broad state developmental and autism screening strategies to engage early childcare professionals. Presenters from Wisconsin, Virginia and Indiana will describe successes promoting developmental monitoring using resources from two national campaigns.
