Views (Opinion) of caregivers of adults with Down syndrome and dementia: a service evaluation

People with DS are a greater risk of developing Alzheimer's disease compared to the general population. Community teams could increase caregivers' awareness of early signs to offer training and support (families and service providers). education and support Interventions with family caregivers can alleviate the negative consequences of being a caregiver and meet the needs of the person with DS. Findings shows the need to improve the information given to caregivers and family members.
