A Wyoming disability project: Using PhotoVoice to explore independence in the rural west

Product Description:

This project was supported by the Equality State Research Network (ESRN) housed at the Wyoming UCEDD. Using community-based practice research, we used PhotoVoice as a method of co-researching with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our group identified "independence" as a key topic of interest, and through photos, group and individual interviews, we presented a deeper meaning of independence for individuals with I/DD in Laramie through a public exhibit.
