Product Description:

This report discusses the process and outcomes of building community coalitions to improve local services to older people with developmental disabilities and their families. Key objectives were to provide outreach to older family caregivers, encourage future planning, and facilitate access to aging network services. The coalitions were unique because they included families and self-advocates as well as service providers. The project was implemented in three Illinois communities that were selected to include the specific needs of older Hispanic and rural families.
