Program Evaluation: Seeking Outcomes of WATR Assistive Technology Assessments
Product Description:
Wyoming Assistive Technology Resources has conducted assistive technology assessments for Wyoming residents for several years. While general satisfaction data have been collected, the program lacks in-depth data about the effectiveness of the assessments. This program evaluation found correlation between involvement in the assistive technology (AT) assessment and discussion of solutions with use of recommendations. Individuals with disabilities that use AT on a daily basis also report an improved quality of life. Finally, barriers to using AT are identified along with recommendations to increase use, such as increased training and support in implementing solutions.
