RTC - DD Data Brief 6 (1)-Gender, age, and disability differences in functional limitations for non-institutionalized adults in the NHIS-D
Product Description:
This DD Data Brief summarizes findings from the 1994-95 National Health Interview Surveys conducted by the U.S. Bureau of the Census, National Center on Health Statistics in 1994 and 1995 which included a Disability Supplement. It examines age, gender, and functional limitations and the relationship between age, functional limitations, and intellectual/developmental disabilities for adults, with a specific focus on adult women. Descriptive population estimates and a series of logistic regressions are used to examine the unique associations with various functional limitations of age, gender, disability, health status, race, and poverty. Analyses are also used to examine the relationship between older and younger adults, and differences by gender, disability type, and limitation type.
