E-mentoring can be an effective tool to connect busy adults with busy youth when it is implemented with care. The Connecting to Success E-Mentoring Program provides a meaningful mentoring experience by combining the well-developed concept of mentoring and the modern communication of email to connect caring adults in the business community with students with disabilities through monitored email exchanges and face-to-face meetings. If you are an educator, employer, or involved community member, we invite you to become a Connecting to Success affiliate and establish a Connecting to Success Program in your workplace, school, or state. Affiliates receive training and technical assistance in establishing and maintaining the program, and can join a nationwide network using the Connecting to Success name. However, the Connecting to Success training manual may be purchased by anyone desiring ideas and guidance for establishing an e-mentoring program, regardless of Affiliate status. The manual guides community organizations, schools, businesses, and state agencies in forming e-mentoring partnerships.
