Webinars are informative presentations that can be accessed by anyone with a device (computer, tablet, smartphone, etc.) that can access the Internet. They are often hosted as a live presentation with the presenters sharing information through slides and other visuals that all participants see at the same time they hear the presenters speaking – and many times have an interactive component, such as a chat box or time for participants to ask questions. Most presentations are also recorded and put in a library to be accessed later. The presenters can upload their slides and other documents (including web links) for the participants to download as resources.
On a regular basis, AUCD hosts webinars on a range of disability topics from interdisciplinary professionals from around the world. AUCD Emerging Leaders can benefit from viewing live and archived webinars that are directly related to their specific fields of study/expertise but can also be exposed to the perspectives of other fields on topics of shared relevance.
