As a researcher, my primary interests lie in addressing barriers to successful transition and access to postsecondary educational opportunities for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. For this population, not being able to take full advantage of the educational opportunities available to them significantly impacts the quality of their lives and, in particular, their ability to pursue fully inclusive, successful careers. My expertise in developing and implementing effective research methodology, online data collection, and community outreach allows me to address these issues on local, regional, and national scales. My aim is to positively affect the quality of life of individuals with disabilities through the identification and elimination of barriers to education.
